Male Yeast Infection

Yeast infections in men, women and children can occur on any
part of the body.
The yeast
tends to breed in warm, damp areas such as the mouth and
genital areas, and in the folds of the skin. It also
appears as itchy, scaly rashes on the skin.
Most men will never know they have a yeast
infection because it can be more difficult to detect in
men. Men may have absolutely no idea they may have a
male yeast infection until it creates other problems with
their health.
In some cases, male yeast infections will be noticeable as a
penile yeast infection, with
-
Penile Itching
-
Burning on or after
passing urine
-
Penis itching after
sex
-
Rash or redness on
the penis or scrotum
-
Painful sexual
intercourse

The
infection, though, can occur most anywhere on the skin. This
skin can crack and become very
painful.
In the mouth the yeast infection is also known as oral
candidiasis or thrush. The tongue, throat and inside the
cheeks can become very red and raw-feeling. This is
usually covered with thick, white lacy patches. It can be
very difficult to eat with this painful condition. You
must make sure not to become
dehydrated.
Candidal organisms do naturally live on the skin, and as the
outer layers of the skin break down the yeast’s growth can
increase. This is particularly true in warm, moist areas
such as armpits, groin and in skin folds when there is an
overlap of fat tissue. The yeast infection usually
appears as flat red patches with itching and pain.
The causes of male yeast infection are the same for both men
and women. When the inner environment of the body becomes
unbalanced the candida yeast can thrive and spread to other
parts of the body.
Common causes of an unbalanced system are antibiotics, alcohol,
beer, sex with an infected partner, wheat products, corn
products, peanuts, barley, and a weakened immune system. Other
than the antibiotics, the rest contribute to candida overgrowth
by weakening the immune system by killing good bacteria.
The most common symptoms of male yeast infection are
constipation, bad breath, bloating, indigestion, frequent
intestinal gas, frequent diarrheal, very loose stools, sexual
dysfunction, irritability and mood swings, fatigue or lack of
energy, memory loss, jock itch, dry itchy flaky skin, athlete’s
foot, and prostate problems.
You may also develop a craving for sweets, pastas, chips,
etc.
Men and women may be continuing the infection in each other
through sexual activity. It’s very important that if one
partner has a yeast infection, both undertake treatment and
cure the disease.
To really stop the recurring candida yeast
infections permanently it’s important to change and keep
healthy the environment within the body, where the yeast
grows. These processes tend to require a holistic and
largely natural approach.
