Penis Yeast Infection

Male yeast infection cure

A penis yeast infection is a symptom of candida yeast infection in the same way as a skin or mouth yeast infection, or vaginal infection in women.

A penis yeast infection is usually found on the skin on the outside of a man's penis and affects uncircumcised men much more often than men that have been circumcised. Penile yeast infections for circumcised men are actually quite rare because the glans is always exposed to the air. This keeps it dry and at a cooler temperature. Yeast needs heat and moisture to survive on the skin.

When the yeast infection gets into the urethra there can be a white, curd-like discharge from the penis.  It can itch on the inside and is extremely uncomfortable. There have been cases of the yeast getting into the prostate gland but this is rare.

The candida can be introduced by vaginal, oral or anal sex with an infected person or simply by an overgrowth of yeast in the man’s body.  Diabetes, antibiotics and a weakened immune system contribute to the infection by encouraging the proliferation of candida yeast in the body.

Nonoxynol-9 is a common spermicide found in contraceptive products that has been found to rapidly increase the growth of naturally occurring candida yeast both in the vagina and on the skin.

Penis yeast infections can be very hard to get rid of.  In time the skin will harden as the skin cells macrophage in defense of the infection.  This hardened skin will crack when the male gets an erection and is extremely painful.  At this point it can become extremely difficult to cure.  It is much easier to get rid of a penis yeast infection in the early stages than the later stages.

As with any yeast infection, men can use anti-fungals such as Diflucan or Monistat in pill or cream from. Many guys will make a trip to see their doctors for their penile yeast infection and get some Diflucan in the pill form or cream form. These things do work, but they don't seem to work foreveryone. Often the infection gets better for a while and then comes back, just like it does for women.

The best thing to do is don't let it get to that point.  That is the point where the yeast has become resistant to anti-fungals and much harder to get rid of.  It is of course much easier to prevent these infections than it is to get rid of them.

The best way to get of the penis yeast infection and not get it back again is to change the environment inside the body that encourages its growth.  This includes diet, supplements and therapies.

It’s very important that you get this information from a reputable source.  The method with the best long-term results is by a health counsellor and nutritionist, Linda Allen.  Grab her book, Yeast Infection No More, here.  You can download it on your computer and get started today.  It's easy to follow and will give you the complete relief you're looking for.

Because yeast grows best in a warm moist environment it is best to keep your penis as dry as possible. Baby powder works as well as anything for this. It is also a very good idea to trim the hair as short as possible because hair also attracts moisture and increases the local body heat.

Be sure to continue treatment for 30 days after all symptoms have subsided to make sure you get your body back in balance.
